Special Initiatives
Responding to the Foreclosure Crisis
Our
region, state and nation is facing financial
challenges not seen in generations. ANDP
is responding to the foreclosure in all of its
organizational activities.
Our Housing Development department is working
with the City of Atlanta and DeKalb, Douglas,
Fulton, Henry and Rockdale counties to execute
their Neighborhood Stabilization Programs.
Our Housing Finance department (Community
Redevelopment Loan & Investment Fund, CRLIF) is
working with developers of affordable housing to
offer bridge financing and other products during
this critical economic crisis.
Our Research & Advocacy department continues to
provide quantitative research to address housing
affordability, Homestead Exemption and property
tax assessments in high foreclosure
neighborhoods.
Our Ongoing Programs
Three Pillars: Development, Finance,
Advocacy
As
outlined on the left, ANDP achieves its mission
of promoting mixed income communities through
three primary lines of business - development,
finance, and advocacy. During these challenging
times, our organization has focused all
organizational resources on addressing the
foreclosure crisis and related matters.
Accordingly, all of our programs have taken on
additional work to mitigate the impact of
foreclosure on Atlanta's neighborhoods.
